Twitch Prime

Overview

In October of 2016, I was chosen as one of two designers to assist in the production of graphics for a Twitch Prime promotion of the game H1Z1: King of the Kill. We were tasked with creating over 250 graphics across seven different languages, totally around 1,750 in all. The turnaround for this project was two weeks or less. Graphic types included everything from hero and gateway images to social posts, flyouts, icons, stripes and more.  To read more about the promotion, check out the full article here.

Process

We were given an excel sheet listing all of the copy iterations, languages, sizes, as well as a couple of assets created by the Twitch brand team. Each design needed to include the main character, the Twitch and/or H1Z1 logos, and sometimes a featured product. We would start by building out contact sheets for each language and use the assets provided to design all the requested sizes. Every morning we would meet briefly to review each others work, make revisions and touch base with the business partner to provide proofs and updates.

Result

We were able to complete the project in only nine days, which was five days prior to the deadline. After the promotion launched, I was left as the sole designer for the next month to handle all communication with the business partner and oversee any revisions or additional graphics that were needed during that time.
