Prime Now

overview

In December of 2016, I was chosen to join the Prime Now team as one of three designers. We are tasked with creating large volume graphics for highly trafficked areas on the Prime Now website. Not only do our designs feature Prime Now and Amazon affiliates, but also well known third-party vendors such as Bartell Drugs, Sprouts, Dr. Pepper, PCC Markets, Kellogg's, Tyson, New Seasons Market and more. To view some of these placements, check out the website.

PROCESS

On a daily basis, each designer is assigned 'tickets' or graphic requests. We all work independently on requests and communicate directly with the business partner about details. However, since it is such a small team, if someone needs assistance or is out of the office for any reason, we all jump in to help out. At the end of the day, we are a team!

All graphics are typically built using Photoshop and are required to follow the specific style guides and templates. Most of work that we do requires us to be very detail oriented and be able to flawlessly edit and collage flat product images to appear as 3D elements within the designs.

Should we have any questions during the creative or production process, we then communicate directly with the Prime Now Brand Team. Before providing proofs to the business partners, all graphics must go through an internal review for quality assurance.

The workload varies from day-to-day, especially as new holidays approach and as 'rush' arise. There is little downtime and we are constantly working ahead as much as possible.

Since joining the Prime Now team only three months ago, I have produced over 1,200 graphics. All of my tickets have been delivered on time or early and my revision rate has consistently stayed lower than ten percent.
